Procures a broad range of supplies or services through formal advertising, or single or sole source justification.
Reviews requisitions to determine that proper specifications or purchase descriptions are included in solicitation documents.
Contacts government and contractor technical personnel to resolve questions of applicability of specifications, or acceptance of substitute items.
Evaluates bids or proposals for compliance with specifications.
Performs price analysis on each proposal according to guidelines in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Tracks orders from award of procurement to receipt
Works with accounting reconciling vendor accounts and invoices
Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, suppliers, and team members
Sets up new suppliers in PeopleSoft according to Jacobs’ policy and procedure
Verifies funding against task for submitted purchase requisitions
Prepares performance reports documenting cost savings achieved
Works in a team environment to coordinate purchases and invoices
Utilize a computerized inventory control system to identify, order, track materials
On-site travel coordinator, reconciles all employee travel expenses
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Knowledge of DOD/Government procurement procedures and techniques
Knowledge of negotiation and price analysis techniques
Knowledge of laws and regulations per the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses completed (preferred)
Must be organized, punctual, self-motivated, a team player, have attention to detail, able to multitask efficiently, and a strong communicator
Degree not required, but preferable: Associates or Bachelor’s in Business Administration
Must pass a drug test
Must be able to obtain Security Clearance
Lifting – 5%
Special clothing/equipment (wearing) – If PPE is required, we will supply it (safety shoes)
High noise level – 5%
Work environment – Inside, primarily in an office setting, however may occasionally be required to go outside to other locations.
Travel/transportation – Must have valid driver’s license
Equipment and Machines – Must be able to navigate a desktop computer and laptop, office phone system, copier/printer/fax, etc.
Attendance – Typically every other Friday off, overtime may be required occasionally, if requested and approved by supervisor.
Shift – 1 st , 9-80 schedule
Necessity for regular attendance – 100%
Urgency for punctuality – 100%
