Mission Statement
Jacobs is seeking a qualified Applications Developer to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. This contract supports the 53rd Wing and 96th Test Wing, both headquartered at Eglin AFB, FL and with units CONUS-wide. The 53 WG is the focal point for the Combat Air Forces in electronic warfare and is responsible for operational test and evaluation of advanced equipment and systems. The 96 TW is the USAF’s test and evaluation center for advanced air-delivered weapons, navigation, and guidance systems, and C2 systems. The 53rd WTSS team partners with military and civilian personnel to provide world-class IT technical support for the 53 WG and 96 TW missions. The 53rd WTSS IT support covers full lifecycle IT from concept, to deployment, day-to-day operations / maintenance, and culminating in system retirement / replacement / upgrade.
Job Description
The successful candidate will act as an Applications Developer for the 692 Cyberspace Operations Squadron (COS), a 688 WG unit, that provides communications and information systems for the 688 Wing’s four groups. It automates, sustains, and operates wing communications and information systems activities including unclassified, collateral, and advanced program local area networks. It operates the Combat Air Force Network Operations Center providing classified information services to the CAF worldwide. The 692 COS provides network capability to fuse data from multiple test facilities into one coherent picture and it develops and maintains the computer systems supporting the development, test, and dissemination of electronic warfare mission data. The 692 COS also provides advanced programs audiovisual support and operates and maintains a state-of-the-art video-teleconferencing capability.
The Applications Developer will use Java and C# to develop, customize, and maintain the 692 COS ticketing and ITSM application. Additional duties will include granting privileges to tables, user creation/account management, transferring data, writing scripts, etc.
Typical Duties Include:
Participate in the design, analysis simulation, requirements definition, performance specifications, procurement, and test and evaluation of integrated systems/equipment
Identifying issues and developing solutions to hardware and software issues
Applying engineering, analytical, and technical disciplines and skills to establish and maintain long-term engineering, operation, and maintenance support for the in-service system capabilities
Applying theoretical expertise to creating new technologies, conducting analysis of scientific, engineering, and other technical problems
Participate in Agile development process as a software developer
Troubleshooting and fixing customer issue

Required Education and Experience:
5 years direct/related experience (2-3 years within the 5 years must be relevant/direct application development experience).
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
Required Skills:
Experience developing front-end software applications using Java
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Development and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience (greater than user experience)
Experience developing in both Windows and Linux workstations
Working knowledge and experience in web-based applications development using C#, ASP.Net, XML, HTML, or SQL
Experience with Agile development process as a software developer
Required Clearance:
Active / Valid DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility); applicant must maintain clearance in active/valid status
Clearance investigation close date must be no older than 5 years, 6 months at the time of application.
Must be willing to submit to, and be able to pass, a CI polygraph.
Required Certification:
- Active DoD 8570.01-M IASAE-II certification (e.g. CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate), or CSSLP or better)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing unit tests and test plans
Experience with tools and concepts supporting software version control systems
Technical knowledge and technical writing ability for writing technical requirements, design documents, and deployment documentation

Independent personal transportation to work site is required.
Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
