We are seeking qualified Information Technology Configuration Manager (CM), to support the 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract that provides the Air Force support services in the areas of network, security, and test & evaluation. Positions will be located at Eglin AFB, FL.
The successful candidate will join the Partner Support Complex (PSC) team at Eglin AFB, FL, supporting the partner nations of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program and support multiple programs administering configuration management duties as the CM for systems processing PSC JSF information. Programs supported include the Australia–Canada–United Kingdom Reprogramming Laboratory (ACURL), the F-35 Norway / Italy Reprogramming Facility (NIRL), and the MDx reprogramming lab team. The candidate will coordinate duties with the systems stakeholders and/or information technology (IT) staff to ensure all Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) / Configuration Management requirements are implemented. Additional responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
Aid in program-wide configuration management strategy and execution plan. Develop and maintain program configuration management plan detailing processes and procedures for managing the program’s diverse configuration items including complex hardware, software, and documentation.
Manages and tracks changes to project baselines, as well as regularly track project and master schedule and control gate progress.
Supports project teams in defining, documenting, and changing and baseline project configuration items.
Processes requests for changes, operation change requests. Assist in changes to the CM process, responsible for establishing and maintaining both new and existing schedules.
Improves and develops the process, working methods and tools.
Provides support to the Configuration Management Board, including scheduling meetings, developing agenda, assisting project managers who are on the agenda and assisting the Chair to run the meetings.
Provides support at meetings, enter or updates configuration tracking information in appropriate databases, develop board agendas, notify board attendees of meetings, enter board related data in appropriate databases; install, maintains and troubleshoot problems related to Configuration Control Board action items/issues.
Ensure mapping configurations are correct and accurate
Provide artifacts as needed to support systems and services.
Instruct and train other team members and management staff regarding document control and configuration management use and processes
Maintain and enforce configuration control of the established systems
Provide recommendations and best-practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures.
Reviews and edits technical documentation, as requested. Serves as a referent on technical writing and editing matters.
- BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and 3 years of relevant experience; or any equivalent combination or education, experience, training, or certifications to total 7 years.
Active/valid Secret clearance with an investigation close date no older than 5.5 years at the time of application.
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage several deliverables simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment.
Experience with project organization/tracking
Advanced skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Journeyman with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Access
Highly mission oriented

Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary. Must be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site is located at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
Equipment and Machines
Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
