We are seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to support the 53rd Wing Technical Support Services contract, to provide the Air Force IT services for multiple computing platforms, architectures, and operating systems. Position will belocated at Eglin AFB, FL.

The individual will be working in a fast-paced, highly-technical, and award winning area that requires a strong work ethicwith a well-rounded server, networking, information assurance (IA) and client systems background. The successfulcandidate will identify, prioritize, and resolve reported customer issues and problems.

On a daily basis the successful candidate will serve as the expert for determining hardware, software and systemsspecification and execution of the patching, fixing, and making all systems compliant under his/her direct control. Thesuccessful applicant will a have experience planning, installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Hyper V, Server2008 R2, Server 2012 R2 and client products across multiple networks as well as strong networking background toinclude addressing and port and protocol knowledge. The successful candidate will provide support to users in the areasof account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.



An Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (preferred).

Typically has associate degree in IT-related field.

Required Experience:

  • A valid/current DoD 8570.01-M IAT-I certification (A CE,Network CE, CCNA Security, etc. or higher level IA certification.

  • Must have a current Top Secret clearance with eligibility no older than 5.5 years at the time of application

  • 6 year’s experience related with Windows Server 2008 R2/Windows Server 2012 R2 and related networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Raid Configuration, File/User permissions).

  • Experience running Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) - (IASE) DISA on all applicable systems

  • Familiarity with Patch Management and WSUS.

  • Experience with Group Policy (GP) development and scripting.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Systems Management Server (SMS) and remote administration desired

  • Familiarity with establishing and maintaining system backup policy and processes.

  • Experience with RMF/JSIG/JAFAN guidance and implementation a plus.

  • VTC, Audio Visual and Telephone equipment experience a plus.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary. Must be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Periodic/occasional travel may be required to include both continental US and/or overseas locations.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.

Equipment and Machines

Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.


Core hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, with the exceptions of deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. May be required to adjust work hours due to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt. In addition, no cellular devices are to be used when the vehicle is in motion.
