As a dedicated CAP + Proposal Manager for our Built Environment, you’ll work in close partnerships with our geography leaders, sales leaders, client service teams, subject matter experts and practice leaders to drive sales activities on various new and existing accounts. Your focus is to position Jacobs as the trusted consultant-of-choice for our Built Environment-strategy, planning and architecture across North America with an initial focus on the Western US. This position will be remote-based. Travel to Jacobs locations across the US to various Jacobs locations will be required on an as-needed basis.
We’ll ask you to assist with target - client pursuits, facilitate go/no-go and bid/no-bid discussions, maintain and update on an ongoing basis all future and current opportunities and overall book of business in our Client Success Platform, Salesforce and manage the creation of qualifications and proposal documents from start to finish. You’ll then collaborate with your team to weigh our success, sometimes acting as the challenger or healthy skeptic to ensure the team has evaluated all concerns.
We’ll rely on you to lead the creation and management of our entire suite of sales tools, including overall proposals, Built Environment overview documents, resumes, project approach narratives, project overviews, and project schedules. You’ll lead Jacobs brand awareness and proposal development for some of the top pursuits across accounts, and you’ll provide oversight and direction for other proposals, all with support from a team of additional proposal managers, coordinators, and graphic designers.
As an expert in presentations, you’ll develop and refine the content for client interviews and leave-behind materials. This includes collaborating with sales and technical staff, working with graphic designers to develop exhibits, organizing working sessions and rehearsals, coaching speakers, and practicing questions/answers and key messages. You’ll participate in and sometimes lead our ongoing Built Environment sales meetings and project pursuit calls on an as-needed basis.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, marketing, communications or related field
Business development, proposal creation and brand awareness marketing experience in the Strategy, Planning, Architecture and Real Estate Development industries
Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills for directing, delegating, and overseeing multiple team members and their contributions
Mastery-level skills in InDesign, PowerPoint, SalesForce and the Adobe Creative Suite
Detailed understanding of and experience with relationship-based sales process, systems, and tools
Polished and persuasive written and verbal communication skills
Great interpersonal skills and an ability to develop, nurture, and maintain relationships at all levels of the company
Capability to negotiate with and influence others

Typical salary range for this position is $68,000 to $106,000, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
