Mid-Sr. CADD Technician

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, goal oriented, pays attention to detail, and has excellent problem solving skills. Employee will work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers.
Performs design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques.
Understands and follows the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers with minimal supervision.
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
Standard work methods are followed for preparing PS&E drawings under moderate supervision.
Actively promotes and contributes to the successful completion of projects from initial concept, through the planning process to implementation.
Assumes responsibility and meets or exceeds deliverable deadlines for own portion of the project scope, schedule and budget.
Performs other duties as required.
5 years of drafting/design experience required
HS graduate or equivalent required (specialized training or education may be substituted for part of the experience)
Experience with current versions of Microstation and/or AutoCAD is required. Civil 3D, InRoads and OpenRoads experience is a plus
Must be able to prepare complete sets of complex multi-disciplinary CAD drawings, which include multiple viewports/views of plans, sections, and details
Must be able to work from sketches, models, and verbal information to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments
Ability to follow client standards as well as proper sheet set up and managing external references is required
Must have experience with project collaboration software (e.g., ProjectWise)
Transportation project CADD experience including roadway, drainage, and utility plans preferred.
Experience with local Colorado agency CAD standards preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills preferred
Microsoft Office knowledge preferred
