At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are tendering for the construction supervision of Road and Infrastructure works in King/Snohomish County Line. These projects comprise of roadway and structural/bridge improvements in an urban setting.

As a Resident Engineer (Transportation ), you will involve extensive interface management with stakeholders and contractors. You will provide oversight of the construction process to ensure that the construction project is safely and accurately implemented on site adhering to the requirements of the construction contract and permitting requirements.

You will lead a team in monitoring the progress of construction project and advising steps to ensure the project goals are achieved. You will have the opportunity to manage and direct a team of support staff and site Inspectors for the supervision of the project. You will report on progress, safety, financial projections, quality control and changes in the contract work. You will develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor and with the client’s staff. You will place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Lead by example and oversee safe practices on site.

You will report to the Project Manager and supervise the project team (inspectors, office engineers etc.). You will interface and work daily with the client’s team, project stakeholders and contractor.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Management.

  • 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization

  • Proven experience within large transportation projects in the Puget Sound Area.

  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship.

  • Valid Drivers license and good driving history

Ideally You Will Also Have:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • WSDOT experience

The base salary range for this position is $133,800 to $234,200. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
