This role will be performed at the client site in Jamestown, North Dakota.
The Senior Engineering Technician (Materials) will provide support for the Pipestem Spillway Modification Project, Jamestown, North Dakota:
Certified in all contractual required QA tests.
Write reports as needed.
Track site construction work and laboratory testing to anticipate installation and quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) testing data to be generated. Use this information to QA-check the data and documents loaded to the database, SFTP site, and Web Viewer to ensure timeliness and accuracy in accordance with the specification requirements and the project's data management policy.
You will be responsible for providing construction services of the civil and structural aspects of the project to ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site, and that the requirements of the construction contract are followed.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of Engineers and place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction.
Personnel may be requested to provide training in proper inspection techniques to government employees, junior government employees, and government hired students.
Attend meetings as needed.
Additional Information: Work 8 hours per day (Monday through Friday), plus OT as needed during active construction, which will include weekends and all hours of the day (including all nights) as needed. Work hours will be reduced during winter months/non-construction times.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Minimum 10 years of related Engineering Materials experience
Bachelor's degree in related field
US Citizenship
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience utilizing ESRI, Autodesk or Bentley CAD/visualization software, proficient in Microsoft 365 Excel and Access
