Description

Openposition in the Operations Security (OPSEC) Support Element (OSE) located onFort Belvoir, Virginia. CONUS and OCONUStravel requirements as part of Mobile Training Team (MTT) Army OPSEC ProgramInstructor/Facilitator. The OSE assistsHQDA, DCS, G3 in the overall management of the Army OPSEC Program, planning,training, and policy. Coordinator and participant with the Army ProtectionProgram Assessment (APPA) schedule and other major army organizationVulnerability Assessments as required.

Duties/Tasksand Responsibilities:

  • Instructor/facilitator for the Army OPSEC Program Manager/Officer Certification Course.

  • Conduct Level III instructor certification training at the ACOM, ASCC, DRU, Corps, and installation level. Maintain, manage, and update the Army OPSEC Level II student database.

  • Serve as a member of APPA teams to assess compliance and posture of units Regulatory requirements in Force Protection areas of concern to include OPSEC.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat analysis mission to emulate the adversaries’ information collection operations.

  • Conduct open source research, analyze critical information and related data in support of the customer's mission and security posture.

  • Support the development, design, and update of all related HQDA OPSEC Program Manager/Officer Course and AKO Web Site.

  • Provide OPSEC Assessment Reports, Staff Assistance Visits and participate in pre-coordination meetings; OPSEC planning support to Major Commands and Direct Reporting Units.

  • Individual Development Training includes but not limited to: Information Operations, Operations Security Level III Certification, and Instructor/Facilitator development.

Qualifications

· One to three years of Operations SecurityProgram experience (AR 530-1).

· At least one assignment at Major Command orBusiness with briefing experience (Command or Staff level).

· Possess strong verbal and written skills.

· Faculty Development, Instructor, Facilitator orequivalent courses/experience. Associate, Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS or BA) degree.

DesiredRequirements:

  • Tactical, Strategic and Deployment experience

  • Travel experience (CONUS and OCONUS)

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Mobile Training Teams (MTT) require travel and classroom experience.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is steadfast-paced and rarely involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business travel requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during times of overseas travel.

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.

Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.

This is an entry level position with promotion from junior to intermediate level dependent on actual demonstration of ability to transition quickly from trainee to trainer and planning abilities.
