Implement computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.
Candidates for a Systems Analyst position must be excellent analytical thinkers and problem solvers, as well as effective communicators. They need a broad understanding of transport, services, network defense, and experience working with associated, hardware and software systems, including their installation, maintenance, and life cycles. Candidates must be self-starters with excellent organizational and listening skills and knowledgeable in industry standard hardware and software development practices to eliminate stove piped development throughout the enterprise.
Analyzing systems hardware and software problems and developing technical solutions
Translating user and systems requirements into functional technical specifications
Writing and maintaining detailed systems documentation, including user manuals and technical manuals
Acting as a liaison between developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and end user satisfaction
Applying hardware and software engineering expertise to lead application development and testing
Analyzing the architecture and quality of hardware and software systems
Utilizing knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design concepts, design patterns and data structures
Assessment of new technologies (hardware/software), capabilities of current technologies, and requirements for upgrades and modernization
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or related field or equivalent experience plus eight (8) to twelve (12) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
10 years of multidisciplined experience.
Employment is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications
- Professional Level Certification such as CCNP or MCSE or CISM
Software/Hardware documentation, testing, maintenance, analysis of requirements, teamwork, consulting skills, architecture, engineering and administration
DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher
- Work will be performed inside a large facility. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position could require some night and weekend work.
- Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
Equipment and Machines:
- General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).
On-Call or after hours support may be required
- Continental and Oversees travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current passport.

Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
