Are you looking for an amazing, part time position, that will provide invaluable experience learning to test electronic equipment in support of our US Military? We are looking for seasonal test technicians to work alongside our Electronic Proving Ground team at Ft Huachuca conducting a variety of testing and evaluation tasks in an outdoor setting working around military vehicles and equipment. Your role will be to conduct pre-determined testing tasks that you will be trained on to record data using a variety of mobile tablet devices. You may be required to work out on a test range, either driving or riding in military vehicle to conduct these tests. This is a great opportunity to learn about the defense industry and additional career opportunities within Jacobs, a leader in the Aerospace and Defense market. Our Part Time On Call (PTOC) staff also get the opportunity to receive a Department of Defense Secret Clearance. You may also qualify for higher paying positions, based off of your overall experience, which will be determined during your interview.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid State Issued Driver’s License
Ability to work a flexible on call schedule throughout the year
US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
US Military Veteran experience
Experience using OS devices in a business setting
Prior electronics / computer support experience
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Regular hours will be variable, depending on the workload requiring to be met. When actively working, the working hours can be between Monday - Saturday 6:00am - 6:00pm (subject to change based on test requirements). Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements. You could be required to work an evening/midnight work schedule.
Other Essential Functions
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion
