Description

Jacobs Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Warfare RF Engineer in support of the Electronic Proving Grounds (EPG) at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Employee will interface with project leads and customer technical representatives to determine both near and long term program needs. Employee will lead RF equipment maintenance efforts as well as the design, development, construction and implementation of new equipment.

Employee will also work directly with US Govt Spectrum management for clearance requests and program RF coordination Candidate must be able to interpret and execute MIL-STD-461 testing to meet RF performance specifications and align with government and military regulations. Candidate must be familiar with a range of equipment specialized for RF testing and setup to include anechoic chambers.

Candidate must be familiar with RF test stations, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers to take measurements and ensure RF compliance. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel. Position may require contact with vendors regarding the systems being evaluated. May require investigating problems, innovating solutions, and writing reports. *This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years related experience in RF testing, or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of 12 years

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering or any equivalent discipline and 12 years of experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Certifications from International Association of Radio, Telecommunications, and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) - Electromagnetic Capability (EMC) or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Level II National Security Agency Certified TEMPEST Professional is desired.

Physical Requirements: Medium Work Environment: Works in anechoic chambers; but can involve testing outdoors, and work in office environments. The work inside of an anechoic chamber/control room is close quarters, moderate to high noise, bright or dim lighting. At times, candidates will work in areas with RF hazards.

Work site is located in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required, this includes walking on uneven terrain in a field environment. Equipment & Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

Attendance “on site” is considered essential, except for, STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off.

Regular hours will be between Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. This is a 9/80 work schedule allowing for every other

Friday off. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours and workdays to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions: Must possess the ability to deliver clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others; button up shirt and steel toe shoes/boots required. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects; this may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for Personal Vehicles, if necessary. Outside work conditions can include potentially working in extreme weather conditions. Extended work days and weekend work may be required. Must pass drug test
