As a vital member of our Florida & Puerto Rico team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridges and other transportation structure designs. Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for design and plan preparation using software tools and resources supporting our clients’ overall project goals.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering
30+ years bridge design experience and transportation structure design
Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Design Code, FDOT Bridge Specifications, ACI and ASCI Design Codes
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida
Support preparation of technical and cost proposals to win work
Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff
Preparation of preliminary and final design documents including Bridge Development Reports (BDR), Bridge Load Rating (BLR) Calculation, and Design-Build Technical Proposals
Experience in Seismic analysis, design, retrofit and rehabilitation; nonlinear finite element modeling of complex bridges
Competence with FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards
Review shop drawings and other construction related submittals
Proficient with Microstation or AutoCADD and MathCAD
Experience with Microsoft Windows Office Suite
Proficiency in advanced Structural Engineering Software including SAP2000, CSI Bridge, Midas Civil, RM Bridge and other bridge design software
High productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment
Exercise initiative and independent judgement in the solution of work problems
Ability to handle pressure and work under tight deadlines
