Jacobs Package/Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer-TS/SCI with Poly Required in Fort Meade, Maryland

Your Impact:

As a PCB Design Engineer, you are at the forefront of our customer’s mission: ensuring the hardware that is being sent to the field is ready to handle today’s technological needs as well as preparing for an ever-changing landscape.


As a part of the team, you will be responsible for designing PCBs from the beginning stages through the completed output process, perform PCB layout for analog, digital, and RF circuit boards through fabrication and assembly drawings generation, work from preliminary schematics, part lists, basic description of the board function, configuration, and arrangement.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Experience in selecting, designing, and specifying digital/analog/RF circuit components, assemblies, and parameters to create solutions that meet given performance requirements by making engineering trade-offs, analyzing requirements, and investigating technical solutions.

Experience in preparing working plans, detailed drawings, and completed mechanical or electrical drawings of assemblies from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes.

Ability to create and modify engineering plans, drawings, and schematics.

Able to validate functional, operational, and user requirements as well as identify new and existing technologies to solve design, development, and operational problems


Experience with IPC, JEDEC, and Mil-Standards as related to PCB design and electrical component qualifications.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering; systems engineering; physics; mathematics; or computer science.

In lieu of a degree, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a total of 19 years of experience.

Minimum Years of Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Package or PCB Design Engineer in signal processing, digital and analog circuits, interface circuits, memory systems, and the principles, methods, and techniques used within the electronic/computer field.

Five (5) years’ experience in both Package and PCB Design Engineering.
