Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Software Engineer to support an upcoming contract at Fort Meade, MD.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs software engineering to expand, update and improve current applications and maintain new products as requested.

  • All software engineering projects shall be done in a structured method (e.g., JAVA, ASP.NET, Python, SOAP, and PHP will be necessary), with project plans approved by the unit CMB.

  • Provides IPRs to support the milestones and on-time delivery of final project.

Required Certifications: IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification - Sec+CE or equivalent Computing Env MCSE Productivity Solutions Expert

Security Clearance: TS/SCI

Essential Functions:

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.

Criticality of Attendance:

  • Shall be physically present on site during normal duty hours.

  • Must be available for contact outside of normal duty hours.

Equipment and Machines:

  • Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

Other Essential Functions:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must pass drug testing.

  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

  • Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles of Jacobs to include; adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

  • Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.

  • Must be flexible to support the customer.

  • Must be a resident in the local area of the main supported unit.

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
