Your Impact:
Produce complex test cases which include test scenario, test data setup, test steps and expected results for each functional area - to include "happy path" testing (positive) to exercise expected functionality, as well as error path test cases (negative) to ensure errors are handled gracefully with the goal to facilitate system delivery without high severity problems.
Multitask capability in design, implementation, and integration of software with ability to independently execute complex software development tasks.
Define business and functional requirements through user stories in Team Foundation Server (TFS). User stories are similar to use cases and should contain enough information so that the development team can break down the user stories into smaller, testable requirements.
Produce requirement test case traceability matrices that will map all functional requirements to test cases to ensure maximum test coverage.
Create test cases as described within the Test Plan which documents the Test Team's approach to ensuring all requirements are met. Test cases are created to ensure that the program functionality works as it is designed for each build.
Ensure efficient production of deliverables using industry standards and repeatable processes.
Execute a series of tests in order to validate the integration of the requirements.
Identify discrepancies when the system does not meet the expected results.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Analyze systems flow, data usage and work process and investigate problem areas
Identify errors in existing software to improve performance
Design or implement complex test cases
Design and update Software Test Plans
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues
Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
Assist in resolving complex technical design issues
Develop technical specifications and plans
Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers
Achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of experience in Programming
Active TS/SCI with CI poly
Demonstrated experience with creating test cases as described within the Test Plan which documents the Test Team's approach ensuring all requirements are met. Test cases are created to ensure that the program functionality works as it is designed for each build the
development of test cases as part of an agile team.
Demonstrated experience using a test automation framework.
Demonstrated experience using test automation tools such as SmartBear, IBM Rational functional tester, or similar.
Demonstrated experience with use of an IDE such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or Visual Studio for development and execution of test scripts.
Demonstrated experience with managing testing for multiple applications during the concurrent development cycles.
Demonstrated experience in developing, refining and disseminating the overall test strategy for the program. Preparing test documentation. Review requirements. Execution of regression tests experience with regression, integration, API, or functional testing.
Demonstrated experience of detailed test plans with expected results for each defect, new feature, or system modification as assigned.
