System Engineer Lead will serve as the Government’s main point-of-contact for USCYBERCOM infrastructure issues. This position shall be on-site at the USCYBERCOM client office.
Responsibilities:
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Analyze complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problems
Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
Delivers briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers
Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team
Design and deliver solutions
First line for monitoring and alerting on production user environments.
Drive High Availability of the deployed products and provide signal around product bugs and issues.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Requirements:
Minimum DoD 8140 IASAE Level II Certification
Hardware and Software troubleshooting fundamentals.
Hard working professional with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and work independently, making decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an enthusiasm for in working in a highly-collaborative setting – sharing best practices, lessons learned, and assisting where gaps exist.
Preferred:
DoD 8140 IAT Level II or greater certification (CISSP, Sec+)
Unix/Linux Computing Environment (e.g., Linux+, RHCE) certification
Experience working direct customer support or internal team support.
Experience with monitoring and telemetry/observability systems such as Nagios, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
Basic Linux experience, scripting experience (Bash, Python, PHP, etc.) and TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
Experience with cloud-based hosting platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and/or experience with hardware-based environments
