Provide software, systems, and network engineering tasks for the requirements, design, implementation, integration, and support of all software and associated documentation for new, upgraded, and existing ION capabilities.Using an Agile software engineering approach, specific functional requirements are fluid throughout the life cycle of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work scope may include any/all of the following duties:
Ensures all software meets the security and accreditation requirements outlined by PM and using community
Develop internal testing plans to ensure traceability to functional requirements
Execute internal testing plan and conduct regression testing; gather testing metrics to assess result of testing program; and conduct Risk Analysis and determine mitigation strategies
Support system security testing and accreditation through, but not limited to, the following activities: test software on systems that are configured in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG); perform software security evaluations; and develop Certification and Accreditation packages
Install, configure, maintain, patch, repair and replace personnel desktop/laptop systems and environments (to include remote access), printers, and servers within the ION development and test environment
Provide ION Help Desk support including remote administration of customer server, network, and client systems
Respond to trouble calls and request for user assistance from ION users world-wide, provide remote and on-site assistance with installation and configuration, and develop desktop client installation packages
Support a searchable knowledge base and tracker of support issues that can be accessed worldwide on a 24/7 basis
Assist with development and delivery of training curriculum

BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and one (1) to two (2) years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications.
Knowledge, skills & abilities required:
Must possesses and apply expertise on all phases of network engineering assignments.
Must have experience with design, development, implementation, and support of large scale computer and network systems
Experience with industrial networks is preferred
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Must be able to develop methodology and present solutions to problems.
Experience and capabilities using Scrum and Agile methods within a CMMI environment is preferred
Must have experience with development and sustainment of web applications with back end databases, built using a variety of tools, languages, and frameworks
Experience and capabilities with successful development of complex systems in geographically dispersed, multi-vendor environment using Scrum and Agile methods is preferred
Experience with Department of Defense Certifications and Accreditation programs and HP Fortify is preferred
Experience with Agile test processes within a DoD environment is preferred
Must have experience implementing Development Operations (DevOps)
Training & Certifications:
Prefer Training or Certifications with the following skills:

Essential Functions/Requirements :
Physical Requirements: Sedentary - involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.Exerts up 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Work Environment:Involves cubical work in a restricted area.Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, sliets, co-workers and management.Must be able to worlk independently and with minimal supervision.
Attendance:Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.
Equipment and Machines:Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.
Travel: May be required to travel, but will be infrequent
Other Essential Functions:
Must pass drug testing.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
