Job Summary:

Provide software, systems, and networkengineering tasks for the requirements, design, implementation, integration,and support of all software and associated documentation for new, upgraded, andexisting ION capabilities. Using anAgile software engineering approach, specific functional requirements are fluidthroughout the life cycle of the project. Provide configuration management,build, and deployment of the product while also integrating work items fromremote development teams.

Work Scope (Duties & Responsibilities):

Work scopemay include any/all of the following duties:

  • Develops system and software in a CMMI Maturity Level 3 environment using Scrum and Agile methodologies.

  • Ensures all software meets the security and accreditation requirements outlined by PM and using community

  • Develop internal testing plans to ensure traceability to functional requirements

  • Execute internal testing plan and conduct regression testing; gather testing metrics to assess result of testing program; and conduct Risk Analysis and determine mitigation strategies

  • Develop and sustain a web application that seamlessly integrates a variety of technologies

  • Ensures source control, configuration management, continuous integration, requirements management and daily build processes are installed, configured, and utilized.

  • Provides an automated build process and an automated unit test suite

  • Provide support with trouble calls and requests for user assistance from ION users world-wide

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and at least eight (8) of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and at least seven (7) of progressive experience, or a PhD degree in a computer or system science discipline and at least two (2) years of progressive experience.

Knowledge,skills & abilities required:

  • Must possess and apply expertise on all phases of software engineering assignments.

  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

  • Must be able to develop methodology and present solutions to problems.

  • Must have experience and capabilities using Scrum and Agile methods within a CMMI environment

  • Must have experience with development and sustainment of web applications with back end databases, built using a variety of tools, languages, and frameworks

  • Musthave experience and capabilities with successful development of complex systemsin geographically dispersed, multi-vendor environment using Scrum and Agilemethod

  • Experience with Department of Defense Certifications and Accreditation programs and HP Fortify is preferred

  • Must have experience with Agile test processes within a DoD environment

  • Must have experience with implementing DevelopmentOperations (DevOps)

Training& Certifications:

  • PreferTraining or Certifications with the following skills:

  • CyberSecurity

  • AgileDevelopment and Testing

  • DoDTesting

  • DevOpsDevOps

Guidelines(level of supervision required to perform):

  • Employee works independently but within the framework established by the supervisor, prescribed procedures and practices.

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements : Sedentary - involves sitting most ofthe time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Exerts up 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry,push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Work Environment : Involves cubical work in a restricted area. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere bybehaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, sliets,co-workers and management. Must be ableto worlk independently and with minimal supervision.

Attendance : Must be able to work within the shift hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA& approved time off, attendance is considered essential. Punctuality and regular attendance arenecessary to meet deadlines.

Equipment and Machines : Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copymachine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment includingdesk supplies.

Travel : May be required to travel, but willbe infrequent

Must be able to read and writeeffectively in English.
