Jacobs is currently seeking candidates to fill a Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Estimator . You will be responsible for developing construction cost estimates for buildings and vertical construction projects. We will ask you to apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates when minimal design drawing and information are available.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop construction cost estimates for building systems, including but not limited to, Vertical Building Systems and Sitework.
Will interpret plans & specifications from multiple design phases; program, conceptual, design development through 100% Construction Documents and into change orders and generate quantity takeoffs and pricing for all systems.
Familiar with techniques, procedures, methods and the nature of the applicable civil, structural and architectural construction systems.
Calculates costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data
Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors
Prepares and maintains historical cost data
Contribute to Risk Analyses, Value Engineering, and Constructability exercises
Creates cost models for estimating elements
Assists lead estimator with reporting functions and assembly of project deliverables
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Proficient experience in vertical and/or building estimating
Bachelor's of science degree in Construction Management or a related field
Ability to attain security clearance required
Basic knowledge of MS software suite required
Ideally, you'll also have:
Experience with Timberline Estimating Software and On-Screen Takeoff
Additional desirable software use would include MII, SUCCESS and/or PACES
Estimating certification
