The Advisory Solutions group within the Federal and Environmental Solutions Business is comprised of architects, planners and engineers providing specialty services to support our clients and projects.

As a Commissioning & Energy Specialist on our team in Fort Worth, TX, you will participate in both onsite and office activities to support Commissioning and Energy projects. You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance), equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations. Projects that you will engage with will include commissioning, retro-commissioning and re-commissioning as well as asset management projects. You will have the responsibility of working directly with Jacobs clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.

You will also have the opportunity to be involved in energy projects including audits, efficiency studies and renewable energy development focused on improving performance for clients and positively impacting carbon reduction goals. Here’s what you’ll need :

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience

• 8-10 years of progressive experience in commissioning activities such as: Utility infrastructure, Mechanical and Plumbing systems, Building

• Automation Systems/Controls, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M

• Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) Certification

• Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and TAB process mechanical testing and code requirements

• US Citizenship

• Ability to travel up to 50%

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• LEED or other sustainability certification

• Professional Engineer license

• Industry recognized energy management certification

• Knowledge of building systems mechanical and plumbing design

• Understanding of the Construction process
