Position Summary

Jacob’s Energy and Power Solutions Group has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer focusing on power generation applications.

  • Lead Engineer in responsible charge of construction drawings and specifications for SCADA network systems to be installed by others

  • Coordination with electrical substation engineers and designers.

  • Review and approval of detailed hardware and software design submittals prepared by SCADA network contractors.

  • Periodic travel to observe and document SCADA systems or to provide field support during testing and start-up activities.

  • Communication and coordination with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers and other outside parties;


  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) is required

  • PE license is preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with SCADA network systems is required

  • Strong problem solving skills is required

  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel is required

  • Must have strong analytical, conceptual, technical writing and presentation skills

  • Some travel is required
