Jacobs Instrumentation & Controls Intern - Summer 2025 in Gainesville, Florida
We’re seeking an I&C Engineering Intern to join our team in Gainesville, FL. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges. As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer you will work with a core group of water/wastewater engineers and designers on water and wastewater treatment designs and construction services support to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems that our clients face. You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following:
• Evaluation and selection of process control instruments, such as pressure, flow, level meters, and analyzers.
• Development of process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications
• Technical report writing
• Construction services support

In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
A strong interest in control system design.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Working knowledge of Revit, Microstation, and BIM
A previous internship related to your field of study
Ability to work in a multidiscipline team.
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
