We are recruiting Consultants, Senior Consultants and Principal Consultants to join the Business Intelligence & Analytics Team at Jacobs. You will join a growing and high-performing team delivering digital transformation, supporting clients across multiple sectors to understand their assets and systems, and harnessing their data to make better enterprise-wide decisions. Our Business Intelligence and Analytics team has grown out of our asset management, business solutions and infrastructure advisory services, augmenting our other services by providing the digital systems, structure, management and analytics our clients need through practical, value-adding solutions. We create and embed strategic digital transformation, enabling our clients to access the intelligence in their data and make better business decisions, faster.
These roles can be based in any of our Jacobs UK offices (London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh or Glasgow) and we operate a hybrid working model. Depending on the skills and experience you can bring to Jacobs, you’ll be considered for opportunities across one or more of our specialist teams:
Data and Information Strategies – You’ll help our clients envisage their digital future by developing data & information strategies that realise the true value of data and information. Capturing enterprise-wide data and information requirements and delivering gap assessment and improvement roadmaps you’ll develop compelling storyboards to highlight strategic gaps and identify tangible steps to close them. You’ll also help our clients to develop strategies with digital line of sight between information and decisions.
Data and Information Management - You’ll ensure our clients are business, customer and market ready to derive insights. Through the creation of governance frameworks, you’ll help our clients gain complete oversight to control and manage data as a strategic asset. You’ll help our clients: optimise the management, integration, and distribution of information, implement common data environments,promote data lineage; and align data models with business activities and strategic objectives.
Data Simulation and Future Insight –You’ll help clients deliver data simulation and future insight that underpins better business decisions to reduce cost, reduce uncertainty, increase revenue and improve operations. You’ll help clients to identify optimal interventions and manage resources effectively to achieve strategic objectives. You’ll help our clients simulate and emulate the potential impact of decisions using our digital twin expertise and Jacobs Replica software, as well as supporting with real time data connections from physical assets to virtual assets through sensors, and a structured journey towards development of digital twin(s).
Data Visualisation and Past Insight - You’ll provide business driven data visualisation and insight to our clients presented through reliable and scalable solutions You’ll enable users to visualise complex data and tell the story about assets, customers, markets, and the environment. You’ll help our clients develop compelling, interactive and meaningful dashboards to get a snapshot of performance as well as generating actionable insights based on past outcomes and causes.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
To thrive in our Business Intelligence and Analytics practice group you’ll be adaptable with a strategic mindset, and someone who cultivates innovation. Curious, creative and empathetic, you’ll demonstrate active listening skills, taking a relationship centric approach with stakeholders and always seeking a better way. If this sounds like you, and you have any of the following technical skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you:
• Developing information strategies and improvement roadmaps
• Capturing information requirements and delivering gap assessments
• Experience of manipulating and analysing large data sets and presenting insight in a user-friendly format, particularly with Python, R and Power BI.
• Experience of building or managing database driven solutions (SQL or NoSQL)
• Designing new approaches to presenting data
• Experience of scalable data transformation process
• Knowledge of predictive analytics and statistics
• Understanding of digital replicas and digital twins
• Experience developing cloud-hosted applications and solutions using services such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and/or Enterprise Asset Management Systems
• Experience with asset Investment Planning models and tools
• Understanding of System Architecture
• Experience of dashboarding applications such as PowerBI, Tableau and Qlik Sense
• Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
