About the Opportunity:

We are offering an incredible opportunity to work in a very rewarding and exciting framework within Jacobs Defence and Security Business.

This position offers a unique, diverse and exciting range of opportunities to support our client; an advanced defence technology company, in developing the next generation of Global Combat Ships.

As the demand for our services continues to grow, we are now looking to appoint a Senior Systems Engineer.

In this role you will undertake a defined range of systems engineering activities relevant to the development of naval command, control and combat system equipment in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements under the direction of the systems Engineering team leader.

Working location is flexible with the majority of work able to be carried out from home, visits to sites may potentially be required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Development and management of system requirements.

  • Design process engineering for hardware, software, and mixed technology systems.

  • Systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements.

  • Systems integration.

  • Systems performance evaluation and its application to verification and validation.

  • Through life environmental impact evaluation of complex systems.

  • Systems qualification and acceptance.

  • Requirements capture, analysis and management.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent), in engineering – electrical or technology based - or in an associated science subject

  • Meet the requirements for professional registration with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant professional body

  • Ability to achieve SC level clearance (or above) as required - Jacobs can sponsor.

  • Experience of Systems Engineering activities in a complex, safety focussed and regulated organisation with multiple complex interfaces.
