As a vital member of our Southwest Bridge Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation projects throughout the Southwest. Our transportation projects include the design of new bridges, bridge widenings, rehabilitations, load ratings, and other transportation structures. Working alongside a team of technicians and under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers, you’ll work to solve problems and challenges in a team environment where everyone is valued. As a Structural Bridge EIT, your typical work tasks will include various bridge design activities, preparation of calculations, preparation of quantity takeoffs for cost estimates, writing reports, researching technical issues and code criteria, working alongside CAD staff to develop engineering drawings, and review of construction submittals/shop drawings.

Based in any of our Southwest offices, our hybrid work environment provides the flexibility to work as an integral member of our Southwest Bridge Team on exciting projects in the Southwest region and throughout the country. Our Southwest offices include:

  • Downtown Denver, Colorado

  • Greenwood Village, Colorado

  • Henderson, Nevada

  • Salt Lake City, Utah

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering

  • Bridge engineering experience and familiarity with various bridge types

  • At least 1 year minimum bridge design experience and knowledge of LRFD design code

  • Familiarity with structural and bridge analysis and design software

  • Familiarity with CAD software

  • Interest in taking on design challenges learning new skills

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering

  • EIT certificate

  • At least one previous design internship on transportation and/or bridge projects that included the use of structural and bridge analysis and design software and CADD software

  • Bridge engineering experience including precast concrete bridges, steel bridges, bridge widenings, rehabilitations, box culverts, retaining walls, and other structures

  • Experience using structural and bridge analysis and design software such as Midas Civil CSi Bridge, LARSA, SAP2000, LPILE, LEAP Bridge/ConSpan/PGSuper, MDX, spColumn and/or other software packages

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation

  • Ability and willingness to travel on occasion

Typical salary range for this position is $58,600 to $91,600 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
