In this position you will be exposed to projects involving safety studies, multi-modal planning, highway design, transit design, site civil design, design review and construction support.

This position requires a technical design background in transportation engineering with specific experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer. Familiarity with DOT digital delivery processes is a significant plus. Experience in developing transportation design plan packages is required.

You'll play an integral role in the design and construction of roadway projects, managing and utilizing reporting tools to gather information as it relates to the project. As issues arise, you'll draw on your previous experience to overcome those to keep design moving according to the timeline and schedule.

You’ll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from conceptual design to final design. This includes having a good working knowledge of the entire project life cycle.

  • Develop plan, specification, and estimate (PS&E) bid packages.

  • Familiarity with DOT design procedures and bid processes.

  • Have a strong working knowledge of roadway design software tools

  • Have a positive team-oriented attitude

  • Coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients

  • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance

The base salary range for this position is $100,700 to $157,400. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
