We are looking for a driven and passionate Roadway/Highway Civil Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to support our growing transportation team in Colorado. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of exciting and engaging infrastructure projects and utilize your design expertise in roadway/highway to serve on transportation related projects. We take the time to understand your career goals and what you enjoy doing and look for projects that align with those goals. Project opportunities may include highway interchange design, intersection design, multiuse pathway design, roadway reconstruction or rehabilitation, federal lands, DOT, and local agency projects across the western region of the United States.

You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

We'll Expect You To:

  • Lead small to medium roadway design teams

  • Work with multidiscipline teams

  • Interact and coordinate with clients

  • Mentor and train junior engineering staff

  • Coordinate with Project Managers

  • Identify appropriate design guidelines

  • Perform highway and civil design tasks

  • Work productively and meet project deadlines

  • Develop innovative design solutions

  • Participate in project technical meetings and coordinate to resolve design issues

  • Analyze/solve complex transportation planning and engineering problems

  • Develop construction and bid documents in accordance with organization and client processes

  • Provide new insights into situations and question conventional approaches

  • Encourage new ideas and innovations; designs and implement new or cutting-edge programs/processes

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control review to ensure compliance with quality standards

Jacobs offers a flexible hybrid work environment with some work performed in the office and some remotely. The base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $134,350. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineering License (PE)

  • 4-8 years of related roadway design experience

  • Strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer experience
