Your Impact:
Product Managers serve as the key person responsible for and central to product’s success. They serve as the bridge across many functions that touch the product – customer, market, sales, engineering and SW development, design, marketing, operations, customer success, finance, legal, etc. Product managers are more externally oriented and less internally focused (such as on overseeing day-to-day SW/engineering or project execution), but still work closely with and command the respect of engineering team.
Job Duties:
• They are responsible for the voice-of-customer and voice-of market. They understand the market and the needs of customers deeply. They conduct market research, customer interviews and other means to capture quantitative and qualitative data on voice-of-customer and market.
• They are responsible for developing and explaining the business case - They translate and quantify customer needs (ranked, prioritized, compared vs competition) into market size, revenue projections, costs, etc. and determine what is the true opportunity space for the product to pursue.
• They create, own and manage the Product Roadmaps and the Functional requirements for Product - They create the product road map for the short-term (next 24 months) as well as long-term visions and concepts. They create brief/high-level functional requirements for the product, manage the backlog, all of which are to be used by the project leads/dev-team to create detailed design and technical requirements to guide product development
• Work scope - They plan/coordinate in conjunction with dev/project manager what will be the daily or weekly sprint scopes, and when features should be targeted for the releases
• They are the de-facto representative of the customer (user). They serve as key person for the team to bounce ideas and understand what they need to build and present demo/prototypes to and provides validation/approval on if what they have built is acceptable/done (DOD – “definition of done”).
• Create and ensure Alignment - They make trade-off decisions by bringing together cross-functional teams and creating and ensuring alignment between diverse functions and facilitating stakeholder engagements.
• Define Product’s Value Proposition - Understands the strengths and weaknesses of product, what its benefits are to specific segments of customers, understands competitive landscape and alternatives available and positions the product for success. The Value-Proposition serves as the guideline for product marketing content, marketing and sales strategies, training for sales and operations, and for marketing communications. Product Managers work with Sales and Operations to understand their needs and bring them to the team.
• Marketing and Communications - Product Managers work with marcomm and others to guide development and execution of the marketing, sales and operations training and support for sales/pursuits work.
• Go-to-market Strategy and Execution
-Pricing for maximum value - Value-based vs other pricing strategies, Pricing tiers, dynamic pricing, up-sell paths
-Sales Approach and Requirements - Develop Market Selection, prioritization of target regions, target/key accounts, segments. Define marketing campaigns, events, budgets, sales training, sales incentives, etc. Setup and manage product operations, technical/customer support functions. Monitor go-to-market execution and adjust for changes.
• Continuously collect product feedback – conduct surveys with customers, assess operational metrics, engage with sales and operations, assess competitors, make proposals on changes to operations and create alignment to implement changes. Manage customer relationships.
• Track Financial performance and report to Stakeholders and/or Senior Management

Typical salary range for this position is $100,700 to $157,400 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. For “remote” positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent.
