We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Area HSE Manager in Puerto Rico.

As part of our team, you’ll will provide HSE support and leadership to P&PS Puerto Rico’s region, specifically the PRASA Capital Improvement Program, including projects and offices. You’ll serve as a business partner working with Program and Construction Leadership in leading HSE excellence, and supporting our Program strategic direction and implementation specific to the Region. We’ll ask you to support BeyondZero performance that is inclusive of the LOB’s and Geography’s vision and strategic plans, as well as provide overall leadership, management and direction to the geography assigned.

We’ll rely on you to take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm and for driving strategies and performance while supporting continuous improvement. You’ll own and maintain open communication with the Program and Construction Manager, as well as the Geography Manager and occasionally Regional Managers to provide technical resources guidance, to ensure alignment and to assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support Regional LOB HSE strategic plans and objectives.

By establishing working relationships, you’ll provide visible support and leadership to all regional stakeholders (to include offices and projects/programs) by providing interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.

You’ll be charged to lead/support incident notification, investigation and reporting process. And facilitating injury management and return to work process. You’ll review Program/Project and office HSE plans, hazard assessments, and participates as required in operational readiness reviews.

We will ask you to travel in this role within the Puerto Rico geography.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field

  • Demonstrated professional experience in a Health and Safety position

  • Previous experience in construction and general industry environment

  • Experience with managing and conducting safety training

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point

  • Ability to travel 50-85% (could change) a year

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills

  • Working knowledge in regulatory compliance, as well as all federal, state and local agencies requirements
