Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a Course Coordinator at our Hanover, MD location. The Course Coordinator is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the student experience, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Addressing student concerns, tracking student progress, analyzing student data, and updating and maintaining course-related documentation.

  • The Course Coordinator assists students with any questions or issues they may have, proctors high-stakes exams, and is a liaison between the students and the customer.

  • The Course Coordinator also creates daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for the customer.

  • The Course Coordinator provides Instructional Systems Design (ISD) support for maintaining and improving web-based cyber training. This includes providing ISD expertise for developing and updating course content, exercises, exams, resources, and other documentation, as needed.

  • A qualified candidate must possess excellent speaking and writing skills, and must be able to effectively collaborate with other members of the team, and prioritize tasks under strict deadlines.


  • Provide first-line non-technical support for students attending locally and at remote sites.

  • Proctor high-stakes exams to ensure exam and student integrity.

  • Monitor student progress – document, track, analyze data, and create reports for the customer.

  • Maintain detailed administrative records of student data.

  • Develop and review course material using ISD best practices.

  • Collaborate with Facilitators, Testing Specialists, Content Developers, Infrastructure Support, and other team members as applicable to ensure accuracy of learning content, to update course content, and to address student-specific issues.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • A minimum 5 years of experience with bachelor’s degree working in the analysis, design, development, implementation, or evaluation of training or equivalent experience (experience and certifications can be considered in lieu of degree).

  • Knowledge of the ADDIE model.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Military experience is a plus, but not required.

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.


Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check.
