This high-performing team of software developers, software engineers, and systems engineers is developing and enhancing the geolocation infrastructure supporting the warfighter. They challenge their team members to think outside the box for innovative solutions and help each other grow their skills.
The ideal developer for this team has 2-3 years of development experience and is looking to expand their experience across the gamut of development and integration skills, supporting the entire lifecycle of their products. In addition to developing new capabilities, they will perform software integration of various applications to ensure they function together as a system, support the installation and execution of products on test and operational environments, and troubleshoot and provide technical support to ensure continuity of mission. This team is modernizing legacy applications by adding new features, improving functionality and performance, and leveraging the latest automation technologies for more efficient, robust, and repeatable processes. These developers go beyond traditional development to design and implement solutions to strengthen the fabric supporting the global geolocation infrastructure.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
TS/SCI w/Poly clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
No experience is required
4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
Willingness to learn from team members and contribute across multiple areas
Experience with Java software development
Familiarity with JMS
Familiarity with integration
Experience developing software in a Linux environment
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and software automation (e.g. Ansible)
Familiarity with Scrum and the Atlassian tool suite
Knowledge of databases such as Mongo or MySQL
Experience with Java development IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ, Eclipse)
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
Experience with Git and/or Gitlab
