Your Impact:

  • Efficiently write CNC programs on 3 and 4 axis machines in the language of the machine’s controller.

  • Train or mentor less experienced machinists.

  • Experience with manufacturing and machining materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, ceramics, fiberglass, and plastics.

  • Setup and prove out processes, including machining operations, required finishes and tolerances for the material being machined, and tooling requirements.

  • Monitor processes and implement proactive solutions including process improvements, quality, and efficiency.

  • Set and operate a variety of machining equipment such as vertical mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and drill presses.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues; fixtures, machine, tooling, etc.

  • Work from detailed drawings, templates, sketches, assembly blueprints, or oral instructions.

  • Continually assess manufacturing capability, capacity, and overall readiness level.

  • Ensure documented processes are being followed.

  • Work may be performed under direct supervision if complex or independently.

  • Work with and provide feedback to various departments and customers.

  • Organize and properly store inventory, materials, and safety equipment.

  • May offer technical direction to engineers and customers on pre-fabrication, modifications, or repairs.

  • Interpret Technical Drawings and use knowledge to setup machining processes; work holding fixtures, process steps, equipment and tooling selection.

  • Design and manufacture for High Mix – Low Volume development and production.

  • Design and qualify complex tooling to facilitate product assembly.


Here’s What You’ll Need:

Required :

  • Experience in a manufacturing environments with manual and CNC mills, lathes, and sheet metal fabrication or an equivalent education in machining or engineering technology.

  • Experience with CNC programming.

  • Experience with design tools such as FeatureCAM, Solidworks, & AutoCAD.

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to make independent and technical decisions with a high attentiveness to detail.

  • Experience developing, documenting, and refining processes, including assembly and material processing.

  • Experience with fixture and tooling design for complex geometry items.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred :

  • Experience with machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and composites manufacturing.

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance.

  • Experience in a manual and CNC metalworking manufacturing setting.

  • FeatureCAM or Fusion 360 experience.

  • Experience with Haas vertical machining centers and gantry mills.

  • Familiarity with Hass User-Defined Macro Programming.

  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense or Medical manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity of quality procedures and documentation including material test reports, certificates of compliance, heat treatments, and other quality records.
