Jacobs is currently interviewing TS/SCI w/Poly candidates for a Principal Systems Engineer III. The position is located in Hanover, Maryland. Up to 23 hours REMOTE work available!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the national and tactical customers, product user, and owners to understand the mission drivers/needs and communicate them to the team.
Work with mission stakeholders to define needs/requirements.
Identify milestone dates for deliveries and track delivery timelines.
Work with the ATLASIAN tool suite to track requirements (JIRA & Confluence).
Work across contract vehicles with other JICD 4.2 stakeholders (customers, other companies, etc.).
Provide reporting to customer, management, engineering leads and product teams.
Identify dependencies across epics (between infrastructure, metrics & monitoring, and other product areas).
Manage overall deliverable risk.
Outline mission use cases for each of the product families.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
TS/SCI w/ Poly
Bachelor’s in technical discipline (Advanced degree desired)
12 years System/Hardware/Software Engineering, 18 years in Technical Role, 24 Years without Degree
Ability to understand Functional Requirements and related program epics.
Understanding of cross platform geolocation mission use cases and applicable workflows in A2/AD and D-DIL Comms Environments.
Understanding of national and tactical cross platform geolocation capabilities and their functions (phenomenology, dataflow, targeting, situational awareness, and command and control).
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s).
Familiarity with the JICD 4.2 Specification and the ability to represent GeoMESH development at the AOCO Technical Steering Group and communicate requirements, DRs and needs from the tactical community.
Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
Functional understanding of military SIGINT and Geolocation systems and programs of record, and the ability to coordinate with them to further the mission of Cross Access geolocation (XAG) and the extended JICD 4.2 Geo community.
Understanding of the key tenets of the National Defense Strategy (NDS), the concept of the 2+3 pivot and the ability to engineer innovative geolocation concepts to achieve mission success.
Be active participant in sprint planning sessions to decompose Epics into User Stories and work directly with development teams to identify specifics tasks.
Experience with the strategies for Sensor to Shooter and OTH-T and the ability to incorporate in the development of Cross Platform Geolocation capabilities and plans.

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
