Skills & Tasks
The Level 2 System Engineer (SE) shall possess the following capabilities:
Work with the IC/Services/Partner user communities to define mission and data flows required to support XAG capabilities, exercises, and missions.
Develop mission use cases and scenarios for partner integration and interfaces for various missions.
Develop breakdown of requirements for functional decomposition, operational interoperability, mission data flow interfaces, and integration strategies.
Refine and resolve mission data flow interfaces to ensure that data sharing and interoperability of operational interfaces are addressed.
Develop the details for operational scenarios and use cases to support QRC and prototyping efforts.
Develop detailed OPS scenarios and use cases to support delivery of capabilities to address SIGINT areas covering signals of interest: HF, VHF, UHF, Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi AoA, TDOA, or FDOA.
Develop operational and mission strategies for modernization with site/partner operations, training, and mission support teams.
Develop operational drivers for SOA, IA assurance, security implementation strategies, DoDAF standards, ODNI/DoD compliant and JICD interoperability, and data interface compatibility for XAG applications and related services.
Develop OPS scenarios and use cases for specific operational exercises, operational risk assessments, mission data flow management, OPSEC scenarios for planned XAG capabilities.
Provide operational and mission support to resolve root-cause analysis to Tier III unresolved issues and problems.
Tools and Processes: Experience with JIRA for requirements management; MS Office for engineering documentation, briefings, and deliverables; MS Project for dependencies mapping and roadmap generation (IMS for phased deliverables); understand the DoD5000, INCOSE SE practices, and NSA Policies related to IT Security, Integration & Testing, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, etc.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Fourteen (14) year’s as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Experience working in a minimum of four of the following: High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Cellular Protocols, Wi-Fi, Angle of Arrival (AOA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), Frequency Difference of Arrival (FDOA)
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required.
- TS/SCI with Poly
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
