As a member of the Global Internal Communications team in the Manager role, you’ll partner closely with strategic leaders across Human Resources to drive engagement and understanding of how we’re delivering on our employee value statement: A world where you can. This means educating, informing and connecting the dots so our people see and feel how we work every day to ensure each are empowered to be you, do and grow.
This role works across Human Resources including efforts in talent acquisition, wellbeing, employee experience, and learning and development. Your success in this role is grounded in your ability to listen, question and consult, make connections and prioritize – so we’re able to roll out initiatives and efforts in a streamlined and organized way. Ultimately, you’ll help translate complex and often sensitive information into crisp, clear written communications coupled with innovative design and delivery.
As a Manager, Global Internal Communications, you’ll:
Partner with our HR strategic leaders to advise on strategic communication best practices, including effective storytelling, message frequency, channel selection, metrics, and Jacobs’ brand guidelines – serving as a “first stop” for message and communications requests
Create a process as well as templates to help streamline the development and execution of messaging and communications
Help draft summary communications for the company and leadership around progress, what’s been achieved and what’s still to come
Work alongside HR leadership to plan and execute communication strategies that help unite the efforts under one mission in a way that informs employees, inspires action and achieves business objectives
Draft communications including emails, knowledge articles, newsletter items and talking points to drive employee engagement, understanding and usage of our benefits and resources
Work with regional and business unit groups to review communications and ensure they’re aligned with our employee value statement and brand
Track communication and business metrics to identify key learnings, trends, and opportunities for improvement; report out to communications and HR leadership
Work closely with organizational change management team members to bolster the effectiveness of efforts and foster positive relationships with stakeholders across the business
Build consensus and exert influence without direct authority

Deliver projects successfully whether working independently or with a team in a way that’s proactive, results-oriented, and deadline-driven

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Established experience in marketing, communications and project management
A writer who can expertly craft communications in the most simple, clear and straightforward manner
Proven and successful track record of project-management capabilities, moving projects forward with an eye on what’s next as well as what’s to come
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Knowledge of AP style
Experience with website/content management, executive communications and change management

Typical salary range for this position is $83,500 to $175,500 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. For “remote” positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent.
