About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Civil Engineer to Join our EDF framework delivery team. Our team supports our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with regards their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Project Management Resource team which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. The role will be based at the EDF Hartlepool Power Station and will require occasional business travel to UK sites/stations. In this role you will report to the Jacobs Operations Manager but be accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data
Produce the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications and calculation notes)
Perform design activities for fastenings in concrete
Technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building
Create and maintain and responsible for the Design Risk Register
Responsible for anchorage design activities
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Degree educated in Civil Engineering
Design office experience
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
Experience in plant layout engineering would be advantageous
Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and of the design of fastenings in concrete
Design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures
Know how to deal with the design and layout constraints
Experience of using Navisworks, Mathcad and Verifplantine
