Jacobs Jr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst in Herndon, Virginia

Your Impact:

Jr. Finance Analyst - FP&A and Corporate Projects will provide financial insights and business partnership to the Jacobs - Divergent Solutions/iCMS organization and tackle Accounting corporate projects that impact the entire organization. This high visibility finance role will provide reliable data and analysis to help with decision making and planning, as well as become a trusted business advisor to the leaders of our Finance organization. The ideal candidate

is a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity and working across teams. They possess a keen attention to detail, has a passion for numbers, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role entails interaction with Accounting and Finance leadership, requiring a strong balance of verbal and written communication skills. Your efforts will have a lasting impact on the entire organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, forecasting, and reporting of multiple segment indirect rates to internal and external stakeholders including FP&A Leadership, Government Compliance, and External Auditors.

  • Perform analysis and reporting that provides insights into rate impacts of key business decisions and objectives, risks, and opportunities.

  • Maintain reports monthly indirect reports designed to identify cost elements driving fluctuations from plan and indirect rates.

  • Assist in the analysis and reporting of spend/rate fluctuations and assist the team in developing recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Support audit requests received from external/internal auditors.

  • Support regulatory reviews to attain government approval for pricing and billing rates.

  • Assist with streamlining processes and implementing automation efforts.

  • Identify areas where automation could reduce level of effort or preparation time.

  • Providing FP&A finance support to the leaders of the Jacobs Divergent Solutions/iCMS teams related to demand planning, productivity, metrics, and reporting.

  • Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree: Finance, Accounting, or Business Management

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1-3 years of finance experience or a related analytical field.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Finance or a related field

  • Advanced Excel skills & business modeling skills

  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), pertaining to indirect rate structures and allowability of costs
