We are Innovative Space, a rapidly growing business within the Surveillance and Exploration Sector of Jacobs that is leading the design and development of next generation air and space payloads and ground processing systems. We have the corporate investment, infrastructure, subject matter experts, and strategic focus to enable you to be successful.
We are looking for a Senior RF Mission Systems Architect/Engineer to work with DoD/IC customers and our Rapid Solutions team to define innovative systems architectures and systems to solve mission critical challenges. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the RF mission and technical requirements and technology to analytically quantify system performance. The Space RF Solution Architect will work closely with our senior leadership to define strategically differentiated mission solutions that address current and evolving customer mission needs.
The role includes working with our leading-edge R&D team to define and execute mission and enabling technology roadmaps and shape our internal investment strategy to differentiate Jacobs Innovative Space solutions. The role is focused on winning new business in next-generation RF space systems technology across a diverse customer base. Develop white papers, proposals, and briefings that capture customers vision of the future. Work with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic business plans. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as required.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
-Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in EE, computer engineering, physics, math, or related discipline.
-11+ years experience in RF systems engineering and development.
-Current active TS/SCI security clearance.
-Experience with business development for space flight payloads or space systems.
-Broad understanding of current and future space systems and technologies.
-Deep understanding and analytical capability to quantify RF technologies and systems performance to meet customer requirements.
-Experience leading, coordinating, developing and presenting compelling solutions at meetings.
-Understanding of customer technical and programmatic needs, market trends, competitive assessments and ability to translate into differentiated solutions and win themes.
-Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to travel to customer locations.
-Experience working with highly innovative engineers and scientists.
-Training or certification in business development processes.
-Severn, MD and/or Herndon, VA. The work can be done in either location.
