Technical Accounting Manager
The Technical Accounting Manager willhave primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with new accountingstandards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Lease Accounting),and future new standards or changes to existing ones.This includes working with Home Office andsegment accounting personnel to receive input, consolidate and analyze results,follow up and then review financials for accuracy.As changes are made with accountingstandards, this position will be responsible for working with the CMS Controllerand CMS CFO to design appropriate processes and controls to implement, writingappropriate policies and also for training the appropriate personnelresponsible for performing these actions.There will be major interaction with external auditors to support ourresults.Eventually, this position mayassume other duties as needed/able to support the Home Office Finance Department mission.The position will report to the CMS-US Controller and work can be performed remotely.
Requires BS degree and eleven (11) years of related experience, or MS degree and nine (9) years of related experience, or PhD and five (5) years of related experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Experience with Government contract accounting preferred.
Preferred candidates will possess CPA designation.

Attendance is critical at all times to ensureresponse to customer requirements (100%). Work, including overtime, may berequired after hours and on weekends, and sometimes on short notice.

Must take and pass a drug test and backgroundcheck. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance necessary forposition. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivityand promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriatefor the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee orothers. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritizemultiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, bothverbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individualsat all levels of the organization. Must be willing and able to travelas-needed.
