Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a highly-technical, highly driven individual to join our team as a Technical Recruiter. The Technical Recruiter will perform full-life cycle recruiting activities, largely in support of our Intelligence Community programs and initiatives. In addition to meeting expectations of performing at a high level of competency, professionalism, and interaction both at a corporate level and within designated areas of focus, the position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing a strategic recruiting strategy, sourcing, prescreening, interviewing, extending and negotiating offers, and facilitation of onboarding. He or she will have the capability to utilize and exploit a variety of resources to target highly-cleared candidates with specialized technical expertise, i.e., social media and web-based initiatives, job fairs, networking and commonly used job boards.

The Technical Recruiter will also be expected to utilize his or her leadership capabilities in support of recruiting and/or corporate initiatives and may be called upon to serve in a managerial role as our organization evolves and workload demands increase.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

• Minimum of 5 years of recruiting in the Intelligence Community and Defense arenas

• Exceptional leadership and time-management skills

• Must demonstrate the capability to understand big picture company and recruiting objectives, while also drilling down into more direct areas of focus

• Knowledge of local and national employment market characteristics, history of implementing successful recruiting strategies

• Must have understanding of and capability to support DOL, EEO/AA, and OFCCP compliance and reporting directives

• Must have ability to learn and assimilate quickly, both as an individual performer and within a team environment

• Solid experience with full-usage of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment

Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.


Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Other Essential Functions

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
