Tool Install Structural Engineer-Advanced Facilities
Provide Structural Engineering services in the electronics industrial field through structural analysis, calculations, and design and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.
As a Tool Install Structural Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced team focused on providing the structural requirements for installing tools used to manufacture semiconductor wafers, including designing pedestals, equipment anchorage, and utility supports. Working with other engineers and designers of our multi-discipline team, as well as with clients and construction trade partners, you’ll develop design concepts, complete the analysis and design, and work with the Designers to communicate our structural requirement.
You will be expected to: 1) under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis; 2) exhibit high level of attention to detail and quality control; 3) take responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work; and 4) work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail.
Additionally, this position may require you to serve as the Lead Structural Engineer for a Tool Install team. In this capacity, you will be further expected to: 1) lead a small team of Structural Engineers and Designers in the development of calculations, specifications, and construction drawings; 2) fully understand all structural scope, recognize how that scope is both generated and impacted by other disciplines, and identify scope change; 3) develop and manage schedule, budget, and staffing forecasts for the structural scope; 4) attend project meetings and takes an active role to help the team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines; 5) act as the stamping Engineer of Record; 6) take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the deliverables, including calculations and all construction documents; and 7) participate in and champions internal, cross-discipline, and external project quality reviews.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer License (PE), or ability to obtain within 60 days
3 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering
Experience in designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Structural Engineer License (SE)
Tool install experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience leading a team of Structural Engineers and Designers
