Jacobs is searching for a dynamic Regional Electrical Specialist to help support projects in the OMFS north region being based out of our Hoboken, NJ project site. When not supporting other projects, you'll assist with the day-to-day Electrical maintenance duties at the Hoboken facility including PM’s, training staff, scheduled corrective maintenance work, etc. You'll be responsible for responding to issues at all projects located within the north region but have a primary focus toward the Hoboken NJ, Allentown PA and Wilmington DE projects.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Preventative and Predictive Maintenance - Conduct or support the following PM / PdM efforts
Infrared Thermography
Motor circuit analysis
Electrical feeder insulation testing
Electrical imbalance testing
Ultrasound testing
UPS load testing
Corrective Maintenance - Conduct or support corrective maintenance of electrical systems
MCC bucket servicing
MCC bucket repairs
Motor starter rebuild
Electrical motor component replacements
Seals
Safeties
Thermals
Other protection devices
Panel board repairs and replacements
PLC system troubleshooting
PLC card replacements
Wiring repairs
Loop power diagnostic and component replacement
Surge suppression testing and replacement
Signal device troubleshooting and replacement
Signal splitters
Signal conditioners
Signal converters
Signal boosters
Etc.
Solar System troubleshooting and repairs
Inverters
Controllers
Panels
Backfeed systems and breakers
Fire system controls and devices (when permitted)
Smoke / heat heads
Suppression system flow switches
Instrumentation troubleshooting and replacement
Flow meters
Chemical analyzers
Dosing systems
Capital and OOS - Provide support for capital planning and job execution as well as out of scope jobs.
Be willing and able to assist facility management and staff to plan out, execute and in some instances oversee capital jobs involving electrical, SCADA and instrumentation.
Perform tasks that can be executed in house such as panel build outs and installs if it will not interfere with any target dates or result in a claim against Jacobs.
Provide thorough scopes of work when able including specifications to be followed by inhouse staff or subcontractors.
Provide drawings to be followed by in house staff or subcontractors.
Facilitate meetings with staff or subcontractors to keep jobs on task and address any issues that may have been encountered.

Journeyman or Master Electrician License
5 - 10 years experience
must have a valid driver's license with no major infractions
