There is a fantastic opportunity to join Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.in Hollywood, Florida as a Project Manager. The position provides the abilityto contribute immediately to a significant infrastructure program that willallow experience on a variety of interesting and challenging projects.Idealcandidate will have 10 years of either direct project management experience,or experience managing projects within a program. Candidate will beinvolved in the planning, design and bid phase of projects, typicallyoverseeing consultants to ensure timely delivery of contract documents, andensuring appropriate coordination with Owner’s stake holders, real estate,historical preservation and environmental regulatory departments and agencies.Specific projectexperience related to any of the following is beneficial: residential site development(ranging from single homes and town house complexes to multi-story); facilityrenovation or new construction (i.e., schools, museums, medical clinics orrecreational facilities); storm water management and drainage projects; environmentalmitigation projects; roads and bridges; and water and wastewater treatmentfacility improvements, piloting and conveyance system improvements.
You should be a self-motivated professional with a desireto grow personally as well as professionally contributing to our diverse,fast-paced office. Serve as the leader/manager of project teams, supportedby technical task leaders and sub-consultants, as needed
Our Project Managers:
Work under the supervision of senior leaders andsenior project managers to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams on avariety of assigned projects.
Perform a wide variety of routine assignments,which are clearly defined and require the application of standard designengineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Contribute and lead the preparation technicalreports, engineering specifications, drawings and perform calculations insupport of engineering activities.
Assist client organizations in review ofdesigns, studies, and reports prepared by other consultants.
Ensure that Jacobs’ business and policyexpectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial,project delivery, and risk management.
Are accountable for successfully deliveringprojects to the satisfaction of our clients and key stakeholders.
Be a team builder to motivate, support,and guide staff to successfully perform their roles, improve their skills, andact as an integral member of the entire project team.
Provide inspection and other services duringconstruction to include shop drawing reviews, responses to information requestsby contractors, and other general construction administration services.
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years progressivelyresponsible Project Management experience, a strong understanding of projectdelivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading and managing projectteams to successfully meet client expectations.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline strongly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of project management experience.
Licensed professional engineer (PE) in Florida or the ability to gain reciprocity.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
M.S.in Civil Engineering or related discipline strongly preferred.
Experienceworking as a design manager on large infrastructure projects or programs
Excellentoral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices,strong data analysis & technical problem solving, strong organizationalskills.
Experience in serving various clientsinvolving a wide variety of fields including water, wastewater, waterresources, transportation, buildings, consulting, design, and constructionservices.
