As a Transportation Planner and Project Manager you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. Working with other members of our team, you will participate in the development of long- and short-term planning studies, HEPA and NEPA environmental documents for a variety of transportation related projects across the Hawaiian Islands. You will be responsible for assessing, document preparation, stakeholder coordination, managing the writing and review of technical sections, permit applications, public presentations, will work closely with the engineering team in the development of alternatives, screening and provide recommendations. Interface with clients and participate in developing this business for our planning practice in the Honolulu Office. You will perform planning tasks on highways, bridge, transit, harbor, and aviation projects as well. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you. Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Related BS degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of environmental or transportation planning work experience, which includes corridor and master planning for the local Hawaii’s agencies (Hawaii Department of Transportation, Cities & Counties, or Transit Authorities)

  • Experience with HDOT (State), FTA (Federal), and Cities & Counties as well as other local Hawaii jurisdictions

  • Working knowledge of NEPA/HEPA requirements for transportation projects

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Related MS Degree

  • Environmental policy analysis experience

  • State and local permitting experience

  • AICP certification
