We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Partnership and Technology Development leader (CPTDL) to join our team with Teammate company, Aerodryne Industries.
As a Commercial Partnership and Technology Development leader you will collaborate with NASA engineering, science, and external partnership organizations to:
Identify new opportunities for partnership and technology development with an objective of executing the NASA mission and fostering a robust commercial space economy.
Participate in NASA meetings and nurture relationships to understand their needs. Develop a deep understanding of their vision and strategy as well as technology, capability, and mission needs. Help translate NASA strategies and goals into tactical plans of action.
Collaborate with JSC on needed technology infusion candidates, and partner within Jacobs, teammates, industry, and academia to identify and develop needed technologies.
Maintain and expand networks, including NASA, adjacent government agencies, industry, and academia. Attend external NASA and industry events, when appropriate.
Manage or help manage NASA and JETS engagement in partnership, start up and technology collaboration and incubation forums and efforts, coordinating JETS SME engagement, as needed.
Keep current on industry trends, investments, and policy direction, especially as it relates to deep space exploration, commercial space, space startups and entrepreneurs, to identify potential new partnerships in support of NASA goals and objectives.
Collaborate with our members of our JETS and Jacobs industry network to identify and facilitate NASA partnerships.
Help facilitate development of Space Act Agreements for the JSC Engineering Directorate and Divisions, as needed. Coordinate with all technical POCs (during SAA initiation phases) and the JSC Partnerships Office.
Maintain records, reports, and metrics on CPTD efforts.
Perform other duties as required.

BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience -OR- Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline with eight (8) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
Requires demonstrated leadership skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
Requires strong initiative, decision making skills and the ability to discern what is important to build and maintain a partnership pipeline.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and strong problem-solving capability.
Must have superb interpersonal skills, technical background, and the ability to function in a team and customer environment.
Excellent relationship building skills.
Requires excellent organizational skills.

Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration or industrial management, and twelve (12) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or technical support assignments. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
