We are looking for a driven Document Control Professional in Houston, to support our Project Team in our downtown office.

As a member of our Project Team, you’ll be coordinating and administering document management activities relative to identification, control, and change documents directly related to the assigned project. You will track the life cycle of documents and records with all revisions, including Design documents, RFIs and submittals. You will also independently manage other day-to-day tasks related to document and records management. This position regularly interacts with internal Jacobs team members, client, and external consultant contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for managing and maintaining the document control systems for all incoming and outgoing documents in support of the project.

  • Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ensures that contract requirements are met.

  • Ensures documents meet standards for production.

  • Subject Matter Expert for the document control systems implemented.

  • Assuring project participants are trained in practical application of systems.

  • General administrative responsibilities within the document control function including data entry, providing training of new users, and maintaining internal process documentation.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 3 years of Document Control experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., drawings, technical specifications, submittals, RFIs, etc.)

  • Must be willing to work onsite at the Downtown client site.

  • Proven experience with Aconex, SharePoint and MS Office

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Strong communication skills and understanding of technical terminology
