We have an exciting opportunity for an Export Control Analyst to join the team with our Business Management Office.
** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **
Ensure export transactions comply with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Jacobs Export Compliance Program and NASA export control policy and procedures.
Actively work to further develop and maintain the Export Compliance procedures for the contract and act as a resource for all regulatory export compliance-related questions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the contract to all NASA client export control officials, representatives, and staff.
Obtain all required export licenses and Technical Assistance Agreements necessary to perform contract obligations.
Provide guidance to all contract personnel affecting exports.
Develop and provide training to contract personnel regarding the general rules and regulations along with the use of specific export authorizations.
Assist exporters with determining export jurisdiction and classifications including working with exporters to gather required information for the processing of export license applications.
Coordinate with contract and client staff to ensure documents containing export-controlled data are properly labeled.
Maintaining proper records/logs of exporting activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field or in a related area.
Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills required.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and outlook.
Must be able to communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication accurately.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Requisition Preferences:
BA or BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience.
Prior experience dealing with export controls within NASA or the Aerospace industry.
Certified United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) certification.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
