Jacobs MEP Revit Specialist in Houston, Texas
We’re seeking an MEP Revit Specialist professional to join our team in Houston, TX. Come and collaborate with our team of designers and engineers, help us engage with clients and subcontractors, and design some of the world’s most advanced facilities.
You’ll work on designs including drafting of mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing systems as well as being the team’s Revit Specialist. Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. You’ll also work directly with the MEP team to provide guidance in Revit knowledge and education.

High school diploma, or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in MEP support services, with an additional 7 years' in the building design industry
Demonstrated experience specifically in mechanical systems design, plumbing systems and/or electrical design
Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD
Previous building design firm experience
Experience working to develop Revit Models of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and telecom
Understanding of parameters/project scope
Revit file maintenance, creation and editing of title blocks, sheet set up, view set ups, tagging and dimensioning model/drawings, etc.
Ability to create and modify families and schedules
Ability to be in the Houston office an average of 2 days a week
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Advanced education, such as an Associates' degree in a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Experience interpreting as-built drawings
Familiarization with applicable building codes
Revit file coordination with other disciplines including cloud models, links and copy/monitored elements
Help lead coordination efforts with other disciplines and clash detection
Experience working with Revit add-ins such as Ideate, Rushforth Tools, etc.
