We are looking for a Precast Concrete Inspector  to join our team and work alongside our technical experts to inspect precast concrete components for infrastructure projects and ensure conformance to shop drawings and specifications.  We will rely on you to ensure that all fabrication activities are performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

· Performing visual and dimensional inspections of precast panels fabricated for bridge decks.

· Verify that appropriate sampling and testing of materials and concrete is performed by the plant personnel.

· Verify adherence to the approved QA/QC plan.

· Verify that rebar, inserts, and additional components are installed in accordance with the contract documents and shop drawings.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • At least 15 years’ experience inspecting precast concrete fabrication operations and performing QA/QC of precast concrete components for bridges.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or High School Diploma in Civil, Construction or related field.

· Good knowledge of ACI concrete field-testing standards.

· Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints (shop drawings), and specifications.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong work ethic and able to work independently on the job site or fabrication facility.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician—Grade I Certification

  • Familiarity with current TxDOT and HCTRA standard specifications.

  • Experience with pre-stressing operations.
